In 2024, the event attracted a record breaking 568 boats from 11 states and paid out over $425,000 in cash. While the 2025 event presented scheduling and weather challenges, with the support of sponsors and the dedication of the anglers, the tournament remained a success. We attracted 225 boats from 13 states and awarded more than $217,000 in cash prizes. Sponsorship of this prestigious event is a good opportunity showcase your product or service.

We are now preparing for the 2026 U.S. Open King Mackerel Tournament, scheduled for October 1–3 at Dutchman Creek Park, located off Fish Factory Road. Since moving to this venue, the tournament has continued to grow thanks in large part to the generous support of sponsors like you, along with American Marine Construction, Brunswick County Parks & Recreation, and Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill.
